📅 Daily Notes - 2025-11-15

💭 Quick Thoughts

So now that I’ve finally gotten the dashboard notes working (somewhat) and the archive function working (somewhat), I can move on to some simple planning for the hives. I’m going to try and be satisfied with just working on Bumble today, if we can get the meeting to occur tomorrow then hopefully that will clear things up as to:

  1. Future of star-sailors web
  2. Content/writing
  3. Other games/projects, including maybe hardware projects

🗣️ Meetings & Conversations

Trying to lock in Fred/Bruce for a meeting morning my time (Kaliningrad standard time).

💡 Ideas & Brainstorming

This is more a note for the 14th, but since I’m on mobile I can’t currently run any scripts (that’s one more thing I need to take care of, hopefully later today). Another thing I should do is when archiving notes, have a popup ask the date these notes should be saved as (because often I’m not archiving notes at the end of the day but at the start of the next day).

Haven’t heard back from Bruce yet, so I’ll probably need to take some initiative and get on with things myself for the moment.

First up - with ChopDot. Let’s create a sign up flow like this:

  1. User signs up with email or username
  2. User the navigates to the wallet selection screen/panel in the signup flow
  3. Automatic log in if you sign in with a wallet? Not sure if this would be possible

As discussed in the standup yesterday (13/11), Dev will handle the admin/business side of things.

Had a sort of productive (but relatively short) second session at Rocket Bean yesterday where I started thinking about the hives and how we want to handle bees. We can start with a very simple flow for pollination where it just provides a bonus. I will need to set up proper timing quantities though, obviously the 10 seconds between each phase is not good enough. I’m also going to add plant food.

Water will replenish hourly or as the weather changes, if it rains. The hive screen should also show your water tank (that’s an upgrade). But rather than it just being automatically added after you leave, we keep track of the old balance when you left the game, and when you come back, you have to perform a click action to receive your “income”.

Food needs to be purchased or crafted. You can pulverise your crops into plant food (bone meal) - maybe.

Crafting grid/UI can be quite simple - just like the old MCPE crafting UI.

There have to be things you can do when you are not playing (e.g. like in SimpleMMO). But I don’t want it to be an idle game. So puzzle or clicker mechanic (like SimpleMMO) has to be determined.

I want to look into the telescope configuration app but I don’t want to build SAAS stuff solo.

After consulting with GPT a little bit (I know, don’t judge me) - I think the best course of action is this:

  1. Wrap up Bumble and get it distributed - web app, PWA, and then (eventually) - native app
  2. Start content creation - writing, short videos
  3. Start a website (scroobl.es) - this houses everything I build in the Star Sailors ecosystem
  4. Explore the next game to create. I will NOT be making products aimed at lower education (as the primary/exclusive demographic). I have far too much respect for myself to do that.

✅ Tasks

  • Add virtual/on-screen controls in Godot, that work in RN, if it detects user is using application in a mobile environment Controls Godot
