💭 Quick Thoughts
Been working through the Design Proposals 151125 document, think we’ve got some good ideas. I think the best thing for me is to work on the environment and just building scenes, sharing them. Can start on the narrative l8r.
I’m not really sure about how we can get all the textures in play, it’s either going to be a top-down or a 3d view model. Obviously, building models/sprites for a 2D UI will be much simpler. Can probably even do pixel art - surely even I can manage that.
For the idea relating to “fixing/improving” the UI of the web version (note: MINOR changes, and these aren’t functional/feature additions) discussed in that above doc, I won’t be touching anything until I get some quality feedback from new users. It seems like SOME users ARE getting to the Linked_Anomalies stage, but haven’t really made headway with converting users to permanent yet.
Anyway. I’m going to finish working on setting up this initial gardening scene in Godot, and I also need to spend some time wrapping up ChopDot and the web version of Bumble, that way we can figure out if the Godot build for Bumble is something worth persisting with.
I’m going to stop supabase on my local environment because I just want to focus on Godot right now - probably got around another 80 minutes of work required to get the first scene set up. Then, we can get it upgraded to Godot 4.5 and fix whatever bugs/issues and type errors come up; then put it into the RN build.
At the moment, I have an inventory hotbar. That’s great. That’s reusable. We have an inventory. We can look at local storage, rn accessible storage, pushing to sb, caching, etc l8r.
